ABOUT
I make prints, paint, weld, sculpt, and draw. I dance, sing, act, and puppeteer. I love the theatre and all that it entails-- in front of the audience and behind the curtain. Deadlines and pressure excite me. I challenge myself to learn new things and put myself in tough situations. My passion lies in finding art and expression where once there was only a bare, empty stage, blank paper, or block of unformed clay.
I have been down several different paths, all of which contribute greatly to who I am today. I have an academic background in special education. I am skilled in American Sign Language. I performed solos hanging upside-down 35 feet in the air for audiences of hundreds. I took an intensive 3-week scenic painting course at Cobalt Studios that changed my life. I painted for theaters and commercial companies large and small, and I have taught K-12 visual arts for over 9 years.
Every experience only adds to the ways in which I use my creativity to connect with others and the environment. I want to use my artistic skills in theatre or scenic company where I can laugh every day, work hard, learn new things, try out ideas, and be part of something great.
